I have been using skin glue to keep my stocking up and find it absolutely brilliant. I cannot use the stockings that are meant to stay up on their own, and find the ones with the waistband attachment are cumbersome and heavy. I know that some people, however, have developed an allergy to skin glue, and sometimes I have found that my skin does get a little red and itchy. However, I keep a real eye on this, and have had no real problems. The glue washes off easily with water, but invariably, the stocking comes off very easily without this help.

Hi Karen,
I find skin glue is also really useful for other clothing. If you have an strappy tops or dresses you can stick the straps on to stop them slipping. I think every girl should have a tube!

I was recently sent the wrong stockings, the latest ones I have require the glue! This is no problem under normal circumstances (I normally wear the studded top ones). Recently I have taken up tennis, I find I sweat so much that the glue just disapears and my stocking falls down. Does anyone have any suggestions on this problem!! Is there a glue that is sweat proof?

Hi,
This glue sounds absolutely fantastic, can you tell me where I can purchase this from? I have got made to measure knee length support but they NEVER stay up, this glue sounds like the ideal answer. Can I buy this from pharmacists?
Many thanks

Please would some-one tell me the best form of skin glue for preventing my arm compression garment rolling over at the top, and where I can get it?
Thanks

The skin glue is called 'It Stays' and I think it should be available via a pharmacist. It is sold by Sigvaris and Jobst, for about £6 per container (roll-top applicator). I am trying to find my product list, but am decorating and just know it is in the box I can't reach at the back of the spare room!!! Lynora

I use a different one you could try. It's called Klebi skin adhesive and it is available from Haddenham Healthcare via their web site £6.93 for a roll on. I've been using it for a few months now without any problems.
Good luck

Queenie - you must go to either your GP or your lymphoedema clinic asap - and don't try and wear the stockings over an open wound. Sounds like you could have developed a localised infection and you need to avoid cellulitis if at all possible. Call them this morning. Also, if the socks are not staying up, they are possibly inappropriate for your leg shape and you may need a different brand. Lynora x
