I have been advised that swimming is good for Lymphodema affected limbs by an MLD therapist and a consultant.
I suppose AQUA massage is an extension of using water.

Water especially when swimming supports the limb , ptherwise we would sink like a brick

Water provides gentle pressure as it takes more effort to walk in water than on dry land, combine this with the use of muscles to actually swim then all these elements working to gether provide means by which the lymphatic system is prompted into action.

I swim 40 lengths of the pool twice a week and this has assisted me in keeping out of hospital wit cellulitis since December 2007
