Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and have been reading the posts with great interest as I have just suffered my second bout of cellulitis in my left ankle - probably getting in through an in-growing toenail piercing the skin.
I had full fever with both attacks and should really have gone to hospital for IV but I avoided it and the antibiotics seem to be doing the job again.
Like others, I do not want this to come back - so............
I'm a qualified and experienced hypnotherapist and I am looking for someone local to Bicester in Oxfordshire, who has recurrent cellulitis, who will become a client, completely without charge, to see if there is an underlying unconscious reason for the cellulitis flaring up again when it does.  I believe that the unconscious mind controls and allows the cellulitis to happen, and so accessing the unconscious mind in hypnosis to ask why, would be interesting research.
I once worked with a girl who had a rash on both ankles - and the doctors had given up trying to find out the cause.  Using hypnosis I accessed her unconscious mind and ask why the rash.  She regressed back to the time when she was in hospital being handed a piece of paper confirming that her mum had a serious illness.  The mind was giving her the rashes to remind her to look after her mum.  Sounds weird I know, but that is how the unconscious mind behaves - it gives us 'conditions' such as rashes and headaches to arouse our attention.  My dad developed a rash when my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Almost a year later when she got the all-clear after treatment, the rash disappeared overnight.
So I am keen to see what part the unconscious mind is playing in cellulitis - and if we come up with a solution then that will help many others - including me !

Many thanks...

Regards

Hello Catalyst

Welcome to uklymph - please note that I have edited your post to remove the weblink - forum members can contact you via Personal Message.

Your investigation will be very interesting, but what lymphoedema sufferers must remember is that cellulitis is a bacterial infection and must be treated as such immediately.

I dont live too far away , however I have not had an attack for nearly two years now , but had regular cellulitis during a 3 year period before. What I think has happened to me is that
(1) I have class 2 garments to wear each day which support the affected leg as well as providing mild pressure to make the muscles work to push the lymphatic fuid back up the leg.
(2) I had an intensive 15 day treatment (total 3 weeks) course of bandaging/mld from a qualified person.
(3) I also have the support video for self help on simple massage

Apart from that I keep the area clean by using HIBISCRUB as a shower shope and every day keep the skin soft and pliable with DIPROBASE cream.

I am not sure if I am the sort of person you need as I am not regular sufferer anymore but has been

Hi Leslie,

Many thanks for responding.
I am delighted that your cellulitis has not come back for nearly 2 years - well done - I would not be surprised if your positive fighting attitude has helped a great deal (read The Biology of Belief by Dr Lipton) but I am looking for someone who appears to keep getting it on a regular basis - that is a sure indication that, if I'm correct, the unconscious mind has a live issue that needs dealing with.
As Lynora correctly said - this is a bacterial condition and should be treated immediately - but I believe that in many illnesses and perhaps with cellulitis, the unconscious mind can 'allow' something to develop that it would normally combat.  So I really need to see a client within whom that unconscious 'need' still exists.
By pure chance I am seeing a lady for something different on Monday - and she recently had her first cellulitis attack - after she made the appointment.  If she allows, I will try and find the reason for the attack - but what a strange coincidence.

Many thanks - and I hope it continues to stay away...

Warm regards

Martin
